Deep Layer: Bio-Stimulators
Bio-stimulators such as Scupltra work beneath the surface to activate fibroblasts, the skin’s collagen- and elastin-producing cells. Over time, this restores firmness, elasticity, and volume, giving structure back to areas that have softened with age. Unlike short-term fillers, bio-stimulators encourage your skin to rejuvenate itself for long-lasting improvement. Although the results are not immediate ( 6-12 weeks) the longevity of your own collagen can last up to 3 years.
However, it is vital to minimise exposure to extrinsic factors such as UV radiation, smoking, pollution, poor nutrition, and excessive alcohol, as these can accelerate collagen breakdown and compromise the longevity of treatment results. Extrinsic factors primarily generate oxidative stress and activate MMPs (Matrix Metalloproteinases), leading to collagen breakdown.
Mid Layer: HA Bio-Remodelling
